From chest hair :o
Putting the fith coat of varnish on the runabout i felt the pot start to slip in my hand . It was either the deck or me that got smothered in varnish . I won  Serves me right for using old jars to mix varnish and not a paint kettle with a handle

Pretend you're having a wax job and just pull. Otherwise use a good pumis hand cleaner.

I find that olive or vegetable oil will remove an astounding variety of sticky stuff from the human body -- don't ask me how I know this...

Just lie out in the sun. We all know that sun destroys varnish in no time.

Waterless hand cleaner that will permit a final rinse with soap and water is what we use for removing paint, varnish and grease from the skin.

So you're varnishing in your undies? That's an inventive way to lessen dust in the finish. Must remember it. Perhaps you should have waxed the old chest too!
I did this same thing myself a few weeks ago, though clothed. Ruined a nice wool jacket.
