I wanna see the battery.......

The really good version will use a Tesla battery and draw its power from the magnetic field.

Using what was available in 1958 I built an ion drive that could be demonstrated....won a science fair scholarship with it...and did another one with a liquid propellant rocket based on Goddards work.....50 years later and the technology still isn't good enough to fly anything except a model made with aluminum foil and filled with helium like a balloon. I have used the technology to build a madel space station for my grandson, and it will take off and fly in a room...and at that...it sucks a lithium polymer battery dry in 10 minutes.

off the shelf batteries he says,,,maybe he's waiting for McCains $300million dollar reward for new batteries,,THEN he'll make it.

just think of the dc-dc converter needed to ionize the air.......and the amount of energy it takes to get there.....

They told Ford he couldn't do it either......

aaaaaaaai have designed some of the smallest, lightest, highest poer density and most efficient power systems for specialized need currently being used....dunno see where the power is gonna come from.....nearly 20 years ago my switchers had the highest efficiency around, close to 98% energy transfer, and power system manufacturers are just now getting there with custom specialized magnetic materials, and in the last 90 days new parts have appeared to allow higher voltages and wider input ranges.....I don't see true plasma generation.....
