Yep. It was the shortest day of the year here today. Must be time to head out and dance around some stones or some other celebratory function.

Yeah - shortest day was nice and sunny here too. A tinge of coolness here tonight though. It was 19C during the day - down to 11C now at 6:30pm.

Sunrise 5:26 AM, 9:03 PM sunset. But an hour of twilight on each end of that, maybe. Beautiful long golden evenings lately, like we had when I were but a young 'un.

That image is in the style of Bigfella... no processing, except cropping. Same with this one, but no cropping, no nothing...(I had to sneak it in.)

It's very early to be honest, and I'm enjoying a nice single-malt. :) The wife is sitting next to me, so I'm quite happy myself.
Here's an interesting shot taken at work a couple years back. And yes, the GPS is working properly...

It might be going cold here, I heard some mumbling about down to 4C tonight.
Still... shortest day eh, its all a nice ride to summer now, and I've got a race a month for the next 4, so I'll be bearable to live with.;)

Speaking of un-retouched photos, I'd been planning on re-shooting this one, but the over-sized rat took offence at me taking this shot and has moved out. The Rainbow Lorikeets moved straight in, and given that I put this nest box up for them .....

Here's another back yard shot taken a couple of days back. "Our" Brush Turkey has turned out to be a male.
