Looking at a 20' 1965 Carver Runabout with a 110 i/o will use it mostly for fishing/hanging out @ the lake - is this enough power to ski? Most likely will just yank the kids around on a tube....................

Sure! Our hosts had an ad for a '67 Carver with a 90hp, so no worries.

For years, my dad had a 18 foot Reinell with a 110 i/o. The thing was not a gas hog, and seemed to have more than enough power to pull us waterskiing.
None of us were big fat kids, though sometimes he'd pull a handful of us kids on a giant innertube. The screams were deafening.

Thanks for the info - it was my memory that I learned to ski off an old thompson with much less power - of course I was much thinner in those days - still, none of us are "fatties" I consider Guinness health food:)
