Greg Rossel in "Building Small Boats" mentions 'boat rod nuts', described as 'look a little like an old-time cast-iron stove lid lifter welded onto a threaded nut.' Does anyone know if these things are still available and where?

Cumberland General Store (1-800-334-4640) sells larger sizes: 7/16" and 1/2". Ask for "box rod nuts".
