New to the forum so let me start by saying hello, hello! Was wondering if anyone has built or has pictures or info on the 21' Carolina Power Dory Skiff from Sandypointboatsworks.com? This boat looks very similar to the 18' Simmons sea skiff that I am leaning towards trying to build soon.

Thank you
Rob

Here is the man who got the plans in motion. Pretty impressive achievement on his part. http://www.angelfire.com/nc3/davecarnell/

And the main site for the Simmons.
www.simmonsseaskiff.com

There is another forum member that goes by the handle, "Erster". I think he is building about 20 of them at any given time. Maybe he will chime in or send you a msg. He is currently well into a 22 or 2 or 3. I kind of lost track.

Are you looking toward flat bottom or V bottomed skiffs? All wood, wood composite, lapstrake, ply? There are many options in that size and type of boat.

That's one of the nice things about the Simmons. It's both. You get to frame it to shape but just add waterproof glue to the assembly. It takes you to the same places of that type of construction as it was built originally. A little plank on frame, some lapstrake and some composite protection for the working part of the hull and hardly anything in the way of wasted materials and molds to the trash heap.
