Gerber Mini Paraframe™ Fine Edge Knife
I know we have had many pocket knife threads here in the past, but I wanted to post about this one. I picked one of these up this weekend for less than $10 and this is an absoulute fantastic knife. It feels great in your hand, is lightweight and has that great Gerber edge.

Nice. Can any of those openings be used to open a beer bottle?“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.”― Mark Twain, -

I carry a Buck knife that I swear is a sailing knife, Buck just doesn't know it's a sailing knife. It's got a shackle breaker in the blade, a serrated edge for cutting line, and a hole in the handle for a lanyard. I'll have to go to their website. Maybe they DO list it as a sailing knife, but it wasn't sold to me as such. Damn good knife, though. I actually have two: one in my pocket and one in the pocket on my life jacket.

Heck, I don't drink beer myself. But I like to be prepared just in case a good looking woman might need a bottle opened. Call me a Boy Scout.
For that same reason, I always carry two knives, two Bic lighters, and two tampons.

My dad carries a Buck with a marlin spike. Kinda funny and sad that most people don't know what the spike is even for anymore.
I've looked at that Paraframe several times but have never bought one. Its hard to find deals like that; I usually have one of several Bucks or a razor knife in my pocket at all times.Comment

Re: Gerber Mini Paraframe™ Fine Edge Knife
Over the years I have ownded a multitude of pocket knives. I've had the Bucks the Boker (German Tree Brand), The Old Timer, the Schrades, the Frost, the list could go on, but I love a Gerber knife. Every Gerber product that I have had has been outstanding. A Gerber seems to hold an edge better than most, even better that the Boker.

I got mine at the Evil Empire (Wal-Mart).

I had an amazing Ken Onion, Kershaw spring assist pocket knife on me at all time until I left it at Phil's one night. He fell in love with it and just said he can't part with it So I have to get a new one $40 at Walmart. On the boat now I have a large Gerber folding with a rubber grip handle, but I miss my KershawComment
