Last year my girlfriend, Deborah Scott, walked in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk for the Cure (or something to that effect!)
Due to bad weather, I picked her up each evening and delivered her back to the area each morning. Each day I picked her up, I checked her feet and, I've gotta tell ya, they were a wreck. Any of you who helped friends during their walk can attest to that, I'm sure. But, she never complained and she soldiered on for 60 miles.
I swear, it looked like the Bataan Death March, but in St Petersburg. And in pink.
This fall, Deborah will once again walk her feet bloody for this worthy cause, and I will once again tend to her so she can do her part to help others.
I'd like to encourage you to contribute or support someone who may be walking in this event this year. If you don't know anyone, I invite you to adopt my Deborah and contribute to her fund raising efforts. More information is available at her walk site: http://08.the3day.org/site/TR?px=1318215&fr_id=1190&pg=personal&JServSessionIdr004=5dpatzt5t1.app44a
Thanks ahead of time!
