As every year since 2005 we created an additional regatta for the little/open boats. So our little jolly-boat harbour gets crowded.

The Arendal-sjekts. All of them have been build by Willem Danevig in Norway.

This is the 3-plank-boat OSTER. The building and the use of the material was exceptionally well done with this boat, which is a scandinavian/viking type of boat (8-rower boat), so we gave this boat our restoration-prize.

I know you've had lots of wind sometimes so we better not complain about calm. Great seeing the boats and the rigs!! Thanks.

Thanks Martin! Great pictures. There are some beautiful boats in your area.
We're still interested in getting some of the old RR posters if you still have them. :)

Thanks Martin, terrific shots. Any pics of ACB? Nice piece in this months Classic Boat.

Every year I dream about shoving Sjogin in a container, bringing her to Flensburg and sailing in company with Davies and friends at your fine regatta.

Best,

Russ

7th picture down from the top: When I saw this picture Martin I was suddenly struck by the thought;if only harbours could talk! Imagine the incredible amount and variety of ships that harbour bottom has gazed up at over the centuries! All the people who left her, never to return. All the ships that sailed over her, never to return.Images, dreams and history.Timeless!
Thank you Martin for that wonderful picture!!
