I'm fix'n to haul out and paint. Weather should be 50 to 70 degrees every day. She's 40 ft. and I would like to keep her cream (ivory) color but I would also like her to "shine". Never painted a hull before. As I'm not a big reader, would like to know if there is a primmer shorter than War and Peace on the subject or just any outright sugestions.

Brush, spray, roller, contract labor?????

I liked 'Painting & Varnishing' from the Wooden Boat series. It's a little thinner than 'War and Peace' and a lot more practical.
