Hello, I have a 1958 24' downeast picnic boat with an I.H. 240 Palmer engine. I purchased the boat a year ago after it had been in storage the last 10 years. Its water jacket was filled with anti-freeze as it is raw water cooled. I'm concerned with the possibility of increased corrosion now that its back in the water and whether I should convert to an internal cooling system.
I ran the boat for three months last fall and there was an occasional overheating that I'm attributing to cloggage...? Otherwise the motor was overhauled , runs great and stays at 140 dergrees. Thanks
