Well what a suprise. SWIMBO posted the news while I was out cleaning up Floozie. In case you are wondering about the extra "I" in SWIMBO, Dianne said, with apologies to Rumpole, that it stands for immediately smile.gif We put in at the Bordentown ramp at about 1pm .

Sorry I don't have any shots of her underway but it just wasn't possible this time. I promise to post some soon. As far as her performance she was a good girl. She tracked well and held a steady 7.5 mph on the gps, and in tight spots she turns to port in her own length. The bow stays put and she just spins around. She takes a little more room turning to starboard. The only problem I found is at full speed she squats a little more than I think she should, but then she has a lot of rocker aft. I might think of adding squat boards to her.
What a way to spend a day - with my wife, my son and a Floozie smile.gif Can't get better than that.
I also want to thank all of you guys on the forum
for your advice and your encouragement. You helped in many ways to make this the 3rd best day in my life. The first was my wedding, the second was the birth of my son. And now there's Floozie .

Here's an alternate to squat boards that might work well with your flat bottom . They're wooden wedges , 1 to 2 ft. long and 1 to 1 1/4 in. thick at the stern .Gotten out of 2 by 12 and screwed on . It's an old timey detail from Sucher's "Simplified Boatbuilding"

Phil, I understand that the superstructure was of your own invention? It's an excellent adaptation, very nicely executed.

She looks right, and then some!
