Lightning # 15097 Update

I completed the planking and I am currently preparing the hull for a layer of fiberglass.

Here is a picture of the Hull from the transom showing the 10.5 radius and hole for the centerbaord.

I will fiberglass thw hull this week and turn it over by the weekend.

Hey Carl,

Boat looks good! I was wondering what wood you are planning on using for the floorboards and seats. I am restoring Lightning #7147 and the original was teak. Recommended options were ash (nice light contrast) or cedar.

I have some old seats from a defunct lightning that I salvaged. My plan is to use the same wood "Oak" I believe for the floor boards.

My color scheme is to paint the Hull Blue and the inside white. The bright work will include the seats, floors, splash guards, rub rail, centerboard caps and of course the wooden spars.
