When we did the deck on my boat we used dynel and didn't fill the weave so that the cloth would give us a non-skid surface.
This didn't work out so well. It actually is not a very good non-skid surface and doesn't hold paint at the top of the weave. So no I what I would like to do is fill the weave with epoxy and then repaint with a non-skid additive.
My question is what about the paint that is inside the weave at this time. If I sand it down, I will get rid of a lot of the thickness of the dynel. If I don't, the epoxy will be adhering to paint. Any thoughts?
