Hot off the press... Pub celebrates it's first birthday...

It started out as any other thread and grew into a historical and unheard of one of a kind success story, with over 6,600 posts and nearly 52,780 views.

Pub is a wonderful place to stop for either a gourmet meal created by Lefty who is a five star chef, -or just for a drink, while you take a brake from your daily activities.

You can sit by the fire and visit friends or make new ones. You can play pool, throw darts or have a stimulating game of chess. You can also enjoy the huge deck, hot tub and a Finnish sauna in the back.

At Lefty's Pub, Carter creates and offers a large selection of mixed drinks which are served by her and others who love to help out at Pub.

The Pub has a huge beer selection that rivals and even exceeds any other in the world. The wine cellar is stocked full of one of a kind fine wines, many of them made by Spinner.

I have a few photos of Pub here but I run out of time taking them. There are many rooms, so if any of you have photo's of Lefty's Pub, please share them and your Pub experience stories here.

Ya all come back to Pub and help Lefty and Carter Celebrate today...

I see y'all are working on tomorrow's entertainment for the celebration....

Here's an idea--I'll stop by (as long as everyone knows to keep at least five feet away from me) and I'll go stand in a corner (remember, five feet is a minimum)...and Lefty can turn off the lights (did I mention any food or drink I might need will need to be served in throw-away plastic or paper?)...

...And everyone can see a glow-in-the-dark man, live and in person!

(I'll be radioactive for a few days. :) )

My Dad was worried about radiation treatments, but I told him we'd just hang him from a coathook and use him as a nitelite in the upstairs hallway. He was happier after that.

Now you know where I get it from.

Just like the pubs around here, I tend to show up on the dead nights. Don't wanna show up too often and get labeled a "regular"

I popped in once, but Paul Girouard chased me away. :D

I don't frequent the Pub, but anyone can see it's the best thing to happen to the forum in years.

Well done, Lefty.

Thanks everyone....But it has nothing to do with me, really.....It's all the good people who come in, keep coming back, and keep everything fun. Without a few stalwart regulars, like Spinner, Popeye, Larry (Boylesboat), Allan, Kev, Canoez, Hwyl, and a bunch of others who really pick up the slack when I'm off, the place would have sunk like a stone... And of course we need to thank Scot, and the rest of the folks at Woodenboat for being such great landlords.
Only a few hours left before midnight here on the east coast, but it's gotta be noon somewhere!!!! LET THE PARTY BEGIN!

Cool photos there Spin....
That is very classy lived-in style, I like it...

Lefty, it is fun stopping by the pub ever now and then.. A place where everyone knows your name...

Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.
Wouldn't you like to get away?
Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name,
And they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
Our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

You wanna go where people know,
People are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows
Your name.
