I was able to get some photos put up so I figured it would only be right to share about my project. I bought the plans for a 10' micro tug designed by Berkley Eastman. I recently resurrected them from their original still sealed Fedex envelope. It would be important to understand I bough these to build with my sons around the time they were born. Mitch my youngest is now 12 and with some encouragement from my wife we have started this build together. I have hope that Mitch and I will build one boat a year. As our confidence grows hopefully our boat will as well. This little tug is to be used to start teaching my boys some boat handling skills and as a tender for our 1987 48' Chriscraft CPMY, with the end result being enough skills developed to build a larger version of Sam Devlins Godzilla a 29' tug. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3107/2307217727_6b0077f863_m.jpghttp://farm4.static.flickr.com/3216/2307217617_63ffbf3c93_m.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2058/2308023426_c0e6948cb8_m.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2068/2308023530_4abce01ea7_m.jpgAll Comment would be appreciated

One boat a year!? Unless you are pretty well healed and have a lot of free time, that would really limit the size of boat you can build. Gonna need a pretty big barn to house them all as well.
Kidding aside- Good luck to you and your son with your build. Have fun with it. Looking good so far.

When I said 1 boat a year, I was referring to something under 15' and my interest lies more in stitch & glue as opposed to traditional boatbuilding. I have come to the realization that I dont have enough time to learn properly without shortening my time to enjoy what I have already built.
I also think it is the only way I will feel comfortable in my building capabilities.
