New toys

Shipment of three iRobot cleaners just arrived. A Roomba vacuum, a Scooba floor scrubber and a Dirt Dog shop and garage sweeper. I purchased a very early version of the vacuum when they first came out, and it was a hoot. Not perfect, but it picked up a lot of stuff. Used it almost every day somewhere in the house, until it just about wore out. Looking forward to getting back to automatic cleaning.

Just an update - after the initial overnight charge, put the new robots to work. The results:
the 560 vacuuming robot is more effective than the old one, and quieter to boot - much quieter. We were wont to turning the od one on just as we were leaving in the morning so as to be spared the noise. The new one is almost unobtrusive.
The floor mopper/scrubber is reasonably effective. Not as good as hand scrubbing, but reasonable, esp when you consider it's set and forget.
The garage/shop sweeper is, again, reasonably effective. Turned it loose in our dining room and kitchen which had been swept two days previously andit picked up a huge wad of dust bunnies.
Now I ccan be lazier again:D

Cleaning robots!? WTF? I got one and it can boink pretty good too. Just feed it and tell it what to do.
