View Full Version : Posting photos from Picassa

02-23-2008, 02:32 PM
So I posted a reply to the car projects thread with some photos that I had uploaded to my Picassa space through Gmail.

I copied the image location from the picture and inserted it in the window when you hit the image button. It seemed to be just fine, but now I can't see the images on the post. (And I swear that I could see them there before!!!)

What's up with this?

Any help?

The first URL appears to be correct, so I'd guess that the others are as well. Are you sure Picasa allows photographs hosted there to be displayed on other websites? It is possible for them to block such usage and I suspect that may be what they are doing.

Jeff, try this link. http://picasa.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=44571

I do believe they do not allow "hot linking"

seems to work.

So it appears that I can post the icon images from the album, but not the actual images in the album.

Just right click on the image and "save it to desktop" or "save as jpg" to our computer... then upload it to photobucket or some other image archiving site... then post it on WB forum.. no problem.

I can usually (with my MAC control/click) and save any image on my desktop...then perhaps fix it some or crop it in photoshop...then upload to photobucket... then post it on WB forum.

Good luck.
