View Full Version : Black Knight
I saw these pictures on Yacht Forums, I know I'm usually a sail guy but these pictures are exceptional, they were taken by the administrator of the site.

Wow, nice boat! Can you imagine maintaining all that bright work? Must be a full time job.

Permanent job just polishing that black hull!
She has permanent crew and "dayworkers" or at least had. She was the committee boat for the 83 cup

Admit it, part of her appeal to a sailboat guy must be that she has two masts (umm...ketch rigged?) and ratlines. She is gorgeous. Thanks.

Update:"Black Knight" is undergoing a restoration in Newport this year. Her cabin house has been lifted to gain access to the side decks etc, fuel tanks and other structural members. From what I have heard the work is going on to re support her cabinhouse as it has sagged from
its original specs.
*more to follow as info becomes available, maybe pics later.........
I remember admiring her as she entered the harbor on Cuttyhunk more than thirty years ago, it was heading toward dusk & she glistened. Beautful!

Can you describe dull..please. :)
You can charter her for $18,000 a week. I'd guess that fuel would be extra.
