Don't use galvanized inside the boat... it is toxic. use black or blue pipe, galvanized outside the boat is fine... don't use aluminum either... it'll melt.

I had a Fatsco Tiny Tot in my split window VW camper. When I burned coal in it the stack got cherry red. It was great in the snow though!
Now I am having it enameled and will install it in "Bright Star".

Jay...how do they enamel a used stove.....I thought they had to sand blast and coat the iron with something first and if it was used it did something to the surface of the iron....

Yes, all you say is true. It is costly but in the case of having the stove as a center piece in "Bright Star's" cabin, we opted to have the base frame nickel plated along with the enameling of the main body and a new radiator shield made of stainless.
