I've had enough. I realize no one could care less if I post in The Bilge or not but I reckon publicly stating it will encourage me to keep my word to myself. See you upstairs.

A worthy endevour. The anonymity and the forum bilge has me revealing my darker side on occasion.

Better to stay above decks where only the birds crap on us.

Perhaps "The Bilge" should be renamed "The Holding Tank"?

Well, you're wrong about that.

I have a fairly short list of reasons for hanging around this place. If you stop posting, the list gets shorter.

See you upstairs, Jim. Say, you don't happen to know of a good trailerable sailboat design, do you? :D

Jim your posting here in the bilge would be missed. Besides if you left you might miss a video of my singing. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enX9mLmDcpE)

But than again that might be what is driving you away. :D

But really please reconsider your stance. I would miss you posting here. I only post upstairs when I feel I can add some value, which is not often enough.

I already nominated him for next month. I made him a cute Republican campaign poster and everything.

Not that I always do this, but how about writing any hot button bits on Word, doing the spell check, reading it over and editing, cutting the laugh lines that are at all malicious, cutting names of other forum members, changing all "lies" to "factual errors", letting the screensaver take over, and making sure your pulse is below 60 before C&Ping your bit into anything?

Have a simple declarative sentence that summarizes each paragraph. You might or might not use that sentence but knowing what it is lends great clarity to prose.

Remember, I coined the term, "the bilge" to describe the old "miscellaneous" section of the forum. There was just a lot of crap floating around in there that kept rising into the higher decks where we were talking about more important things. In the days of wooden ships and iron men, they simply used the bilge as a toilet in foul weather when the heads were the last place you'd want to take a dump. The term is aptly applied still in this context. If you don't need to drop a load, there's really little point in visiting the bilge.

Still, I find myself doing both once a day. LOL

What is this? Playing the Sympathy Card?

Look, Duncan got BROTM. Won it fair and square. Sorta.

Besides, what would Paris think if she saw you like this? Probably pull a Brittney and run off with some freakish photographer.

So think of her and HTFU.

The bilge is kind of like the WalMart of the forum ...

Face-to-face, few claim to contribute (shop) in the Bilge ... yet statistically, like the Bilge, about 74% of all of us shop (contribute) at WalMart.

did that make sense?

I read recently where WM has over 220 MILLION unique purchasers in a given month ... the the 70%+ of us that DO shop there. Conversely, only about 30% of that 70%+ admit to doing so in blind surveys.

Our country is about a phony as can possibly be ... :(

Sorry, JimD, I digress ...

One bit of advice, JimD:

If you ignore the Bilge, your boat will sink!!! :)

I wouldn't be caught dead shopping at Walmart buying that god-damned Chi-com junk !

Instead, I go to Sam's club.

And Sam's Club is?
Really I shop at Sam's Club and find the same stuff there in Wal-Mart.. But Sam's have better deals..and I enjoyed free sampling of food :D
Ever seen Sam's Club semi-trucks behind Wal-Mart? I did...
That tell me that Sammy do owns Wally world
