Just wanted an update from far north Queensland on my favorite build :D :cool:

Shane, I thought you had gone walkabout into the desert? I hope you don't go....stay on the coast, earn less money but be a much happier person!!!!
As to us: we are busy, busy as usual. I will admit to being too lazy to post new photos. Perhaps now that you have prompted me, I will endeavour to do so in a day or so.
The dinghy(Oughtred's Acorn) is complete but needs painting.
The masts have been stepped to allow us to rig prior to launching.
Dad is making the cockpit grating...a long and tedious job!!
I'm painting the main cabin then will move to the forward cabin for varnishing/painting.
David is doing all the odd/fiddly jobs.
So far as construction work:there is just the saloon table(PNG Rosewood)to make and the cabin sole (White Beech and Spurwood)to lay.
Won't be launched now until early next year.
We are allowing ourselves the luxury of 10 days off for a bit of a 'holiday' over Christmas and New Year as we all feel the need for it.

Good to hear about the upcomin hols should be good for a hoot! :D but I bet yer spend most of yer time thinkin about the "to do" list!

Boat sounds like shes slowly coming together as planned timings an altogether other thing Im steady realizing! ah well make sure the cameras up and workin with plenty of storage space or film when the launch takes place

As for the desert... Its still very much on the cards the job I had hoped and expected to get went south for some reason funding I understand... never mind got a few more options out there before I give up and stay put for a few more years.

Like it enough down here actually the longer we stay the more I like it which isnt what I expected {I think its got a hell of a lot to do with the waters!} and the moneys not so bad but I miss the bush like buggary... citys driving me totally lalas! anyways plenty of time steady steady catch the monkey :cool:
