Christmas Wherry

Now that the Christmas Wherry (Duck-Trap) has been around for a while, I am wondering if anyone has seen one on the water, or preferably sailed/rowed one. The design seems like a goodun, but I am reluctant to take the plunge without any firsthand reports. Anyone like to comment?
