I haven't been in a couple of years. When my parents lived across the street I visited all the time. I'm chaperoning the girls' ski trip tomorrow or I'd meet you there.

I think it would be an adventure to travel all over the country visiting these maritime museums and collections. It would take years to see them all.

We've been pretty much doing exactly that...by ship! Most of our favored stops around America are small maritime museums and associations...Combined with a bunch of small 'boat clubs' as opposed to yacht clubs...It's really great, as many times we'll let the museum charge a small fee to see the ship, thereby also raising their coffers a wee bit. We winter at the docks of the North Carolina Maritime Museum, and enjoy the likes of the Hudson River Maritime Museum, the Marine Museum in Oswego, etc....Sadly, there are many who contact us for a visit request, but they are toooo far off our course...I wish that they would all toss in a nickel, and print a paper copy pamphlet with all of their contacts....
