For some reason I always have a hankering to build me one of these one day. I can picture me and my better half in our twilight years puttering up a few rivers in our neck of the woods looking for a nice spot for a pick nick on the river bank.. (or more firewood for fuel) :D

Many many years ago when I was a young lad in Busselton I got to go in one on the Vasse River. It was beautiful little boat and I think it is in the local museum now.
I was in the Church of England Boys Society at the time, we wore a very nice dark blue para military uniform and forage cap:D. I only joined for the hiking we did, certainly not for the God bothering we had to do every Wednesday night before the interesting stuff. I quit when the priest started giving me a hard time about not attending church on Sundays.
