Does Cuprinol (and other similarly concocted name brands) adversely affect resorcinol glue-ups, i.e. plywood edges?

not after glueing, definitely if you apply cuprinol before glueing. They use junk solvents to make cuprinol so you have no way of knowing what resisdue remains after the VOC is gone.

Cuprinol has a fair amount of parifin in it, which makes a pretty good separating agent.
