I think www.binnacle.com (http://www.binnacle.com) in Halifax stocks it.

You can buy west epoxy from any vendor... the hardener you need to get locally/from a Canadian vendor. Resin can be shipped from anywhere in the world.

There are some complete Epoxy systems that are not considered HazMats, and can be shipped across borders and in the air.

System Three (http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/to;ID;,Epoxy...Adhesives,System.Three.Epoxy) is a good example.

Amidships, the cheapest price (by a long shot) for West that I have found is at Scotia Trawler in Lunenburg - $79 per gallon for resin and about $30 for hardener. Binnacle is $100 and IMP even more. If you're going there, call first to make sure that they have stock.

By the way, did you buy Kelly's folkboat?

I'm a friend of Kelly and Merrillynn's. We live out in Stonehurst (past Blue Rocks). I knew that Kelly had sold his folkboat and didn't think two wooden folkboats would have sold in the area in the past little while! Good luck with the boat - can't wait to see it on the water.

HowardHi Howard - you must be one of the few of Kelly's friends I haven't met yet!! Yes, the folkboat is now mine and will be brought up to shape/spec. over the winter. She's a great boat and has been out of the water too long!!

If you are out Stonehurst way, you must know my friend Phil with the Dragon?

Kind Regards

Yup, I know Phil - he's Stonehurst South, we're North near the end, but not a long walk away. Bart (with the schooner Cheers) is also a neighbour. Do you go to Bill Lutwick's? I'm there most Fridays.

As for epoxy, from what I've seen, the Trawler's price on West is about the cheapest of any epoxy available in the area, regardless of brand. Some of the building centres carry Cold Cure, and some carry East Systems, but they're all more expensive than West at the Trawler. Nothing else is available locally, as far as I know.

HowardHi Howard, thought you might!

No, haven't been to Bill's 'Fridays' - I knew they existed but didn't know how to get an invite or indeed what went on. I have met Bill mind you.
