shear plank is deliberatly over width to compensate for rubrail and final trimming after roll-over
The material on the floor will be her dead wood.

Nice! Quite the project, when do you think you'll turn her over?

A proud moment, gert. :) Looks like a tight fit in there for wrapping planks around the molds.

Good lookin work, I'm jealous that I'm not further along. Plank # 6. Wow , :o you just picked them up and glued them down. Planking has to be Zen, and your work is karma. Keep us posted with pic's; we love pic's

Looks good, I'm stuck on the second #7 plank until I can get heat in the building.

Congratulations . I've read of builders sawing holes in the walls of tight spaces when it came time to sight the sheerline .Think you'll go that far ? I remember setting a step ladder up in a city street so I could site through the shop window at mine . I've wondered if sighting the sheer through a large mirror would help in a tight space .I've got the same cordless drill , similarly basted in epoxy. Wish I had a fine project like that underway . Enjoy!

Bill: that's too funny. I have been out in the middle of the street trying to see her lines and I did need a ladder. I thought about the mirror too. I swear the one thing that scares me the most is " is she fair? "
We won't know till she's rolled over and on a trailer. My son has bought a new screw gun; It's not allowed in the boat shed:rolleyes:

Thx all; I'm getting stoked again.

Got 5 days off in a row coming up....

And the result... GS has a nose!
Not that this took 5 days but it was surprisingly easy and fun.
Please forgive the "grinding" but when you rush, you pays the price.

Grey Seal is on my short list of favorite buildable boats. Nice work.

Please don't fret on that! You went through one maybe two layers...you should see the scarf joints my students make!

She looks nice and fair (from this angle) and you sound happy. Good Job!

Cheers,
Clint

You are doing a wonderful job on her. She looks fine. Can't wait to see her after she is turned over.
