Yep. That was Eun na Mara #1. She's actually dark green with bright deck and cabin.
Watercraft is a good place to start - they ran two articles featuring that boat. Watercraft also ran a series of seven articles showing the building of a strip-planked version.
Thank you very much... I will try with watercraft, I have visited Alistego, have you seen Adagio ??? here is the link
Adagio Eun na mara (http://pages.sbcglobal.net/wilicyote/index.html)
I think the Eun na mara in the duckflat is sailing at UK, I think I have seen that bridge before...
well thanks !!

Ya. Adagio is Paul. He used to drop in to the forum occasionally, but I haven't heard from him since he got the boat done. You'll notice that he's lengthened the cabin a bit. It seems that many of the builders just have to make a few little "tweaks" to the plans.....
My own Eun Mara is, sadly, just a stem/keel/sternpost hanging in the rafters. (and a set of molds sitting in storage.) Building got interrupted by the necessities of making some money to keep the creditors away. SWMBO (and little SWMBO) have since exerted some influence and caused me to think more towards building a stinkpotter for the family boat. The Eun Mara will become my own personal boat later.
Heh-heh.
I may name her Briar Patch.
Oh ken Iīm sad to hear that, but I understand sometimes when we make proyects so far we donīt really know what will happen, I think that is a matter to take care from the begining, in our case the boatbuilding... I hope you sail your Eun na mara one day and I sail my Grey seal too !! smile.gif
this summer if all goes right I think I will have great progress...
do you think the maggazines "watercraft" about Eun na amra have good quality like woodenboat or more?? <-- I donīt know how to express what I want to say .. sorry... I ask that becouse I was reading that it cost 8 u$s aprox. and that is 24$, three times here... :(
well thanks again !!

Watercraft is an excellent publication, although a different format from WoodenBoat. Watercraft does not restrict itself to wooden boats only.
I'd pick WB as my favorite, but Watercraft is different enough that I don't see them as competitive but, rather, complementary.

Personal opinion: Watercraft is the better magazine for someone looking for information about smaller boats. IMO, WB tends towards too many gold plater articles that might appeal to the more affluent who can afford to spend, for instance, $100,000 for a custom circular cockpit in their refit of the 60' "weekender"; something I find personally hard to relate to ;) . Watercraft has many more articles and reviews of smaller, more affordable boats. The downside is that many of them are only available in the UK. On the other hand, I really do enjoy WB's history and designer profile articles.

Emiliano,
The builder of the original Eun na Mara is Rae Smith. He is in Scotland. Rae is one of the builders acknowledged in Oughtred's Clinker Plywood Boatbuilding Manual. The owner of the boat is Brice Avery.
Rae contacted me several years ago when he saw a post of mine on the Databoat forum inquiring about the Eun na Mara. Rae was very kind and generous in helping me decide which boat to build. (I decided to start with Oughtred's Caledonia Yawl). He has also given me some building tips.
I am reluctant to post his email address here without his permission. If you like, I can try to contact him and get you connected.
Ken
Thanks both ken and meerkat for the watercraft opinions!! I have been contacted by Doug and he gave me the e-mail address of Rae Smith... I will try to contact him this week... but ken if you contact the owner and he wants to share some images would be wonderful...
thanks Doug for the information I will be waiting your sailing images, and thanks to all again.
