You're suppose to use fiber glass not cotton fibers. Makes for a much smoother hull.

Looks like moisture? Was there moisture in the cloth?

Don't set your wet towels out to dry on uncured resin? ;)

You raided your wife's wardrobe and clothes cabinet, rather than buy a few bags of lintless painters rags?
I'll try again ... You have been using a cutting compound like one of the Farecla G Series of advanced liquid cutting compounds and rather than remove it as you progressed, you have allowed it to dry and set and now it's is difficult to remove?

Oh, Warren- good one! I hate it when that happens, like trying to wash concrete off the surface.  And the soaking doesn't help THAT much! :D

You told your wife that you were building a boat and then she came to visit the shop and you tried to hide the other boat with your shirts but she saw it anyway and now she wants to know if this is why you couldn't take her on that vacation in the south of France, because you couldn't content yourself building one boat no you had to build two because you are obsessed and you spent more on mahogany last year than on food for your children?
Let me know if I win. :D

Conrad, I'm not wishing this on Martien under any circumstances, but if my first guess is right, he could be in bigger trouble.
The black cloth near the bow looks like an expensive little black number.
Warren.
ps, Sorry, I've got a habit of editing excessively, which I call refining, ... so soaking doesn't work hey? Thanks for that I'll keep paying attention then. Cheers.

No drainplugs?
Looks like you need to make a bigger door!!
Or you'll never get them turned over.

I'd use rope for my clothesline!
I'll shoot. The thinner soaked rags spontaneously combusted and burnt the place down.

The order plainly says "three boats," and you made only two?

AHA! got it now! the wet clothes you laid out to dry picked up a nice coating of ablative antifouling paint.

Did you wax the bottoms by mistake?

Thanks everyone for all the great suggestions.
I didn't think there are so many mistakes to make. :D
The problem was that I used the wrong harder to mix with the polyurethane paint we used to paint the bottems.
We only found out the next morning. After some discussions about the best solution, we decided to take a few hours off.
With about 20liters of thinner and a lot of rags, we managed to clean it.
It was a hard job and we stayed high for about half a day but we're happy we did it. smile.gif
