Wow - that went by fast. Seriously, all is well and if Claudia and David don't post pictures in a minute, I will. (Houseful of company right now...)
But Sarah is well, bottom painted, hatched, hardwared, and ready to go! :)

OK, I'll keep adding pictures until you get tired of them (or until the next round of grandkids gets here...)

Oh wait - he needs a beer (more like washers and nuts for the aft deck cleat):

Not an easy spot and one which James had to be physically removed from last week and one which for some unknown reason I couldn't wedge myself into. :( I mean I could seven years ago... :(

It really isn't an easy spot to access, but David got down there and he and James got the mizzen deck hardware on. I made a frantic call to Concordia to confirm the direction of the slope of the engine vent cover, and David and James got all the pertinent items on.
Sarah has lots of pretty new "bling":

Well, the winches aren't new, just polished up nice by Dave years ago and still pretty. :)
I understand Claudia consulted several Forumites regarding a wreath for Sarah. (It came out beautifully)

Granddaughter Sarah arrived just as we were finishing things... The boat's name is a happy coincidence, we had the boat and her folks had always wanted a pretty little girl named Sarah :)

The sun is up allready over here and it is sunshine and a nice day that we are wishing you! I marvel the thought of you doing all this work on Sarah and yet finding time to post pictures of it all here.

The weather forcast seems a bit iffy for bright sunny clear skies but I'm confident the many happy smiles from those in attendance will make up for it in spades!!
A fantastic voyage you undertook Margo and now the end is already here. Thanks for allowing so many of us to go along for the ride through your picture diaries.....and we didn't even have to sweat a drop either(although one person apparently almost froze to death down there...imagine!)
Hope all goes well for both the trip to the launch site and launching and may all who sail aboard S/V SARAH be forever kept safe!

OK, I'm out the door. Sleep? What's that?
I'll sleep when I have Sarah in the water.
Unfortunately it doesn't look like it's going to be the pretty sunny day we hoped for. It actually seems like it's going to be quite damp. That's unfortunate because we spent so much time caulking the bottom that I didn't get the decks done.
Oh well, water pouring in from the top has got to be better than water pouring in from the bottom. Someday maybe I won't have either. :)
Thank you all again.

Me, too, except I would add Prairie Islander, plus (David and) Bernadette Hedger's boat (name escapes me at the moment; too early in the a.m.)
I'm excited and I'm a thousand miles away!
All the best wishes on launch day, Margo!

I just talked to Claudia and David: Sarah is in! :D She's not taking on any water. :) It's pouring there, too, so they are heading back to Margo's place for some celebrating and, hopefully, picture posting. :)
