What's the right twine for lashing skin-on-frame kayaks, and where can I get it?

I don't know the answer, but I'm sure you can get it here http://www.kayakforum.com (http://www.kayakforum.com/cgi-bin/Building/index.cgi)
There's quite a few skin-on-frame builders there.

They like to use artificial sinew. It's flat waxed dacron. Looks like and behave kinda like real sinew.

Available form leather suppliers. West Marine here in seattle carries it as well.
