Well I had surgery on a hand last Friday, tommorrow it's a knee. So, about the same as last weekend, I'll be, as Pink Floyd so eloquently put it, comfortably numb.

Post surgical numbness isnt much fun even with drugs aboard. I wish you peace.
I will be installing a rudder and running to various sporting events. Kids keep ya moving boats keep ya poor.

Thank you....the drugs are a definate plus though!

Take care Bob.
I need a weekend to recover from the weekend activities done during the week. Chopped up a fallen eucalypt on Tuesday (still feeling the effects of last Saturday's sail in 30 knots of breeze). Lugged around go karts and a car frame / engine yesterday. My son has gone karting today.
Saturday will be pulling the gearbox out of the VW and mating it up to the Subaru turbo engine. We struck some troubles with it yesterday - I've had it all together before, but without the flywheel and clutch in. The damn 2300lb pressure plate means that unless the clutch is dead centred, it isn't going in.
One day will be boat day - I've got a new impeller to get into the genset.
Monday is a holiday here!

I'm going to work, until midday today, just repairing boats and preping them for painting, then I'm heading north to the western escarpment of the Blue Mountains to do a bit of walking and climbing in the bush over the next few days.
It has been a hectic past week. I'm restoring or repairing 14 boats at the moment. One of the boats is wood. This week past has been like being on aroundabout. I reach out daub something onto a boat and as I go past the next boat I daub something onto that boat until the next boat comes within reach and gets spattered with some sort of marine paint or tinted flowcoat, then that boat flashes past ... and so it continues. 12 was my lprevious record for working on boats at the one time ... there 'aint no down time when there is more than one or two boats. Within 4 weeks they will all be finished except for the wooden boat that requires weeks of work still. The wooden boat is one of my boats.

We came back from the bush today, much earlier than we had planned because of extremely windy conditions in the Blue Mountains ... today we had had enough of being blow about so we, my wife Helen and our daughter Lucy bailed out and became tourists.
We caught up with a few sites that I hadn't seen before, like the Three Sisters at Katoomba.

We did do a bit of walking, in a dry vine forest rainforest and a lot of doing not much else except driving over the last three days.
Cedar Wattles and Wonga Vines.

The best feature was that the Telopeas were blooming, not often are they seen. The vibrant flowers of Telopeas also known as Waratahs are large. One flower will cover a dinner plate.
