I know bunches of you will scoff at this, but I found a stack of 1/4 imported exterior hardwood ply... each ply of equal width, virtually no visible voids, one surface nearly perfect the other with numerous small, tight knots... for $10.95 per.
I've got enough for the Bolger Diablo and one or two small "canoey thingys."
I'll get the email off in jiffy, Mike!
Later,
Phil

You'll need 1/2 inch for the bottom Phil. Two 8 ft. sheets.

Yeah, you are right. I wasn't thinking clearly. I was on my first cup of coffee.
1/2 inch for the knee and stem too and the seats.
Let me know before you cut out the transom. There may be a problem there depending on what motor you are going to use.

That pic was from launch day and it was in Sept. or Oct. of 2001. It was cold as hell that morning.

AY MIKE, Hows the sailboat coming?

I started on the mast a few weeks ago Leon and put it down for a bit. I need to scarf two more ten foot sections of Douglas Fir and then laminate it and plane it.

Something else not mentioned Phil. You need to give her two coats of glass if you ever want to put on the big motor.
I used two layers of 6oz. cloth.

So, Phil, there was some progress made over the weekend, no?
