Today the Canadian dollar hit par briefly with the US dollar which along with Canada's reputation as a terrorist haven has led to steps being taken to reduce the risk of counterfeiting . http://eye-on-the-world.blogspot.com/2007/03/canada-deals-with-currency.html

I doubt the our currency rise has anything to do with our energy reserves, our lack of debt, and all that stuff..:D

One thing we can be secure in...... The knowledge that your currency is VERY unlikely to EVER be as ugly as ours is!

Another benefit to this situation, is fewer US folks moving to Canada due to a good exchange rate.
Too bad, I was thinking about it myself.
