To some, brightwork is evidence of divinity, to others it's evidence of satan. Both camps must agree that it's the work of Something Greater, even if they do regard the others as damned.

NOW we're talking "Theism"!

This is for real:

We re-christened our last boat, a 28 foot Monk, "Varnishing Point."

In the Register of Wooden Boats, it ended up being listed as "Vanishing Pont." Coincidence?

Considering that it was a monk...... synchronicity

Varnishing has caused me to break several of the Commandments.

Repeatedly.

I don't believe in varnish.

I'm an agnostic about varnish; having no specific evidence to prove whether or not the torture of maintaining varnish is worthwhile or not, I can only simply say, "I don't know" :D

I'm going to go graze in the raspberry patch for a while and mull over what I've learned here today.

Varnishing is a false religion, whose system of values is used by the ruling elite to exploit the working classes. :D

What causes me to lose faith is that few people receive the thorough shellacking they so clearly deserve.

Repent painters, varnish hides the truth and will damn you for an eternity.

Spirit varnish is the false god. There is only one true God. A water based two pack is Lord.

Noah was given no time to waste on varnishing ... he didn't just hint at the truth. He was a true believer and all that water should have given all a big hint about what was to come. The only stuff that went on the Ark was put on in twos. It is writen in the Book of Jobs.

Warren.

I'm thinking most of you are just Christmas and Easter varnishers. I take this very seriously and try to varnish once a week.
