    Vanishing Theism Thread

It's probably just as well, but the "How one becomes a Theist" thread seems to have vanished. It went as such threads usually go, but no worse than average. Sam, didn't you start that one with a quote about Anthony Flew? What happened?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations,
    for nature cannot be fooled."

          baked squash is good

split a spaghetti squash into two halves , dot with butter , s&p and bake in a 350 oven ~ 15 ~ 20 minutes until tender

scoop out the innerds and mince lightly , add little more real butter and s &p to taste, serve up steaming hot with steamed broccoli , cheddar cheese sauce and a grilled tenderloin pork chop

Goes great with a nice cool glass of turnip juice.

George, Sam can't even contain himself; what makes you think we could do it?

This seems the appropriate place for Walt Whitman, before Jack beats me to it

Listener up there! what have you to confide to me?
Look in my face while I snuff the sidle of evening,
(Talk honestly, no one else hears you, and I stay only a minute longer.)

            Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself,
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

Thats better than arguing out of an agrressive need to dominate and humiliate others and enhance one's ego.

we got at least one of those here too
The doctrine of nonresistance against arbitrary power, and oppression, is absurd, slavish, and destructive of the good and happiness of mankind.
Personal failures are too important to be trusted to others.

No we don't! Not reading again? You are hardly in a position to be taken seriously. Better to stay silent and preserve some benefit of doubt about your integrity. As it is, no doubt remains. What conclusion can one possibly draw from a persistent refusal to acknowledge facts? In fact one must conclude that you're pontificating about a subject of which you are remarkably ignorant. If you want to engage in this sort of revision / deception, you should at least pick something a bit more plausible - not something that we both know can't be true. You couldn't possibly have got it more wrong. Now I suggest that you stop your hypocrisy. You've failed once again.

My three-page list of quotes from Sam F is useful, ne?
