Looking for an information on adding a "V" bottom to a flat bottom skiff. I have seen the article in either Wooden Boat or Messing about in Boats. can't remember now where. Can anyone help me find it??

Im at the station, so I can't go check on the issue #, but Its fairly recent.
Go to the WB page and search for the article, I believe its listed in the index.

Actually It isn't a big job.
When you loft the boat, drop the rabbet down to form the v you want. as long as you are planking with solid wood, it's fairly simple.
The article you are talking about involved a plywood boat... didn't it?

Yeah it was a ply flat bottom with a semi-dory shape, to which he added a framed out V shaped bottom, terminating a few inches inboard of the chines to leave a lifting strake.
