Has anyone here any experience with the Chesapeake stickup as done by Ruel parker? The Chesapeake Bay Maritime museum is or was building one, but planked rather than plywood. I'm thinking of something potentially more "useful" than the Hobie 14.

I've seen Ruel sailing his. Do it planked. It'd be fun to do as it's fun to sail. Another way to split rig a sharpie. Comments from ones who have actually sailed one would be interesting.

There was a pic of one in the launchings section of WB a couple of years ago. A search of WB back issues would give you the contact information of the builder. A letter of inquiry to him may prove fruitful.
