This boat is available. The owner is recently deceased, killed in a boating accident last summer and the wife wants to get rid of it. I don't think it has much value as is and only nominal value restored. But I think it's an attractive boat and worth saving. If I had space, I'd seriously consider taking it. But I don't and won't.

It's about 14' with a 35HP Johnson. Fir marine ply over oak frames. Fastenings appear to be bronze. Some rot in planking at the transom, also some around one of the stringers in the bilge. The decks need some work as well.

What say you?

John,

If you think you'd like to have such a runabout then it would be a worthy project, sounds like. If you imagine fixing it and selling it for a profit you'd better spend your time at a second job flipping burgers. smile.gif

Not a bad looking boat, for the type. I kinda like the reverse sheer. No manufacturer?

Know that what you see as rotten is about half what there is, probably.

Need a project? Want a little outboard runabout? Go for it. Otherwise, pass.

I suspect this is more rot than not. I'd pass. She has had lots of fresh water lay in her.
