I saw a Kathy Bray print of this boat and thought it was a really nice looking small crusier. I tried to find information on the class on the internet. Couldn't find much. Are this boats still around? Is the class active? Anyone know who designed it?

There is a chapter in "Early one Design Sailboats" by Diana Esterly on them.

Thanks, that was what I was looking for.

By the way, love the hat. How many channels do you get with that?

Only one -- the History Channel, of course!

Thorne,

I hear you guys are updating your repertoire and intend to perform a reenactment of Hiroshima. Not in very good taste, if you ask me, but it will be a one day show only, huh? ;)

They actually do quite a bit of WWII reenactment, and I've seen Vietnam and Desert Storm reenactors in the UK.

Went to an English Civil War reenactment near Aberdeen in Scotland in '05, and the after-hours party was a "Full Metal Jacket" theme. The Brits were all there in their best American Army kit, and a whole bussload of Germans were there as either VC or Vietnamese bargirls. Stranger than fiction, eh?

In case anyone's interested, there's a Bear-class sloop for sale on Craigslist ... asking only $2500.
