This barquentine is tied up a few hundred yards from the Eagle and is in the process of being rerigged. She has a most unusual transom that swings up and down hydraulically to form a staging area. Also make it useful for going sailing in a smaller boat.

I drove down to Brunswick to work on my boat and take her for a spin last weekend . Pretty hot . So humid there was a fog like haze on the water .I was very surprised to see the Eagle there . The new bridge is paying dividends . I saw a truly huge Chinese freighter in that same berth last year ,taking on Southern Pine lumber with her own loading cranes .

I grew up 20 minutes from New London Harbor ,where we kept a boat for many years ,so the Eagle was a familiar sight . What are you sailing down there ?

Sailing is pathetique here. I see lots of boats in the marinas but they never move. I understand the areas here are not too coonducive to sailing dye to sand bars etc.
