Has anyone built one ? I was thinking it would make a great winter project seeing how funds are low to work on the "big Boat". I have a little lake in my town which is great for small boats and two little girls that would have fun sailing around with dad.Looking to make it from scratch instead of the kit.

Built one...fun to build, easy to build, and rows surprisingly well. The plans are easy to follow and you can use the book "How to build the Nutshell Pram" to guide you although it has gaps, but we could help fill those. It makes for a light, stiff boat and is awesome to introduce little kids to sailing and rowing. I am making the next size up dinghy by Joel White, the Shellback dinghy. Would you want to 8'or 10' pram? I suggest the 10' so you can have two people in it with comfort.
Cheers,

I just got the book the other day and have already read cover to cover. I going to order plans in the next day or two for the 10 ft one.I'll post progress pics(if i ever figure how to) when I start it.
