Be careful with these. I had bought an Insignia system the other day. It came with a DVD player and was advertised as a "Home Theater System".
Now keep in mind that I've been playing around with home stereos most of my adult live. I've got a pretty high end system with Carver Amps and Bose 901 speakers, matching CD and tape drives with synchronized recording. In other words I understand about audio in and out fairly deacent.
But anyway who would have thought that something advertised as a "home theater" wouldn't have an audio in. The only way that the system worked was if you were playing a DVD. You could not get cable TV, VCR or Satallite TV to play over the speakers of the "Home Theater" system.
What a crock. No audio in on the system. I tried it many different ways and never could get it to work. Took it back last night and got my money back. The guy there said that this paticular system (only one they had like that) didn't work like I was wanting.
