Looks like this is going to turn into a fix it summer, due to a lack of time to finish the job before sailing season ends.

We took off a section of the deck amidships because of rot in the beams. Here are the new beams:

There is a window in the cockpit, I remembered to put the fram back before putting the deck down:

Last weekend we started putting the plywood down:

The cabin sides are next, part of them had to come out too. Hell if the hull was rotten I could have a whole new boat.

I also had a spot in the cabin top that leaked. It was strip built with cedar, then fiberglass cloth and expoy were put over it. A round hole was patched with a round peice of plywood. That cracked and let water in.

Here is the hack job I did going after the damp rotting parts:

I did measure these and attempt to line them up, but not very successfully. If I was doing it again I would draw a grid on top of the cabintop, and then cut out a pattern in the grid. I would also cut all the scarfs with a jig in place so the angles were the same. That would have sped things up considerably.

Still the pieces did come together:
