From the improvised weapons department...

How long 'til you're not allowed to bring a newspaper on the airplane?

Boing-Boing reports (http://www.boingboing.net/2007/07/09/howto_make_a_weapon_.html) that security guru Bruce Schneier (http://www.schneier.com/index.html) has blogged about the "Millwall brick" -- an improvised cosh made from newpaper:

It was invented by UK football hooligans and skinheads in the 60s after British police started confiscating anything at soccer games that looked like it might be usable as a weapon.
