ok, We need rain here, badly. The lake is so low I dont think we're gonna bother puting the boat in this year.
The tourists are coming but their being very tight fisted this year.
We think its because they realize that their broke, and that they were broke last year too and just didnt know it yet.
We see a lot more bringing picnic lunches with them and eating food from home instead of dining in the local resturants. That hurts here. The shops are not making the sales as in years past due to the tourists being forced to choose between paying for a motel room, gas and eating, or buying tourist trinkets. We're seeing 1st hand what the public thinks as far as spending goes right now.
It will be interesting to see how the rest of the summer pans out , income wise, for this season here.
Can somebody else take over and do some drifting here?.....

Drift away... mmmmm now that would be good about now... having young Aaron return to the nest and the others on school holidays a house to sort and get delivered and built and a wedding in the planning and a young grandhoon coming to stay every day Im about ready to drift away somewhere
Am planning a quick zap down to Albany early next week so Im gonna have to make sure the cameras batteries are charged and do a travelogue... some fine woodenboats down there along with once being the centre of southern whaling here in Aussie... could be quite an enjoyable time I reckon
