Hi Everyone,

I may get a good night's sleep this pm. We had a great turnout from the forumites for the turning of the hull of my Biscayne 22 mahogany runabout.

Unfortunalty - I was too busy turning the hull to get digital pics of the turn. A friend got film pics and will get a CD made so I can post some of the boat on its side. She also got a video - I hope to get that, edit a bit and find a way to make it public so everyone can see it go over.

I took some pics of the upright boat on its cradle:

I told them today was a lot like my wedding, it was a happy occasion, I was nervous, and I wanted to talk to everyone for an hour - but couldn't.

Thanks for all the help everyone - No more crawling around on the floor - now I get to hit my head on deckbeams!

What an accomplishment. I know the sleeplesness; part anxiety, part exitement, the future-tripping on what you'll be able to do next...
Congratulations.

I remember the last time some ignorant cowboy said "mission accomplished", but that's a subject for the bilge.

Seriously, I was glad to have the chance to be there. The photos don't do it justice. Bob does _fine_ work.

Watch out for belt buckles and jeans buttons while leaning over those topsides to work on the deck....

You had to have built several boats before this one. This looks really good!

Thanks Everyone smile.gif

It was a great morning - I could have talked boats all day if ya let me.

I have a 300HP 5.7 Mercruiser all picked out - but I haven't really started shopping for it yet.

I figure the Spring/Summer of 2006 I'll be ready for launch - I usually slow construction quite a bit during the summer so I can sail,etc..

Martiens: Love how your boat is coming along too! I bet I watch yours as much as you watch mine ;)

Clean Shop: I'm amazed how many people spot a detail like that! I just hate tripping over crap on the floor - Also - if it gets too dusty - the sneezing starts. So a little tidying between tasks keeps me in the shop doing something!

Thanks,
Bob
