This year in our area we havent had enough rain to sustain Douglas Lake. Its now down 17 feet from what it should be this time of year.
As a result the go fast boat boys are running into each other, running aground at full speed, and generally screwing up as best they can.
Yesterday the local paper printed pics of new "islands" that have appeared out there this week.'
We dont do the "go fast" thing anymore, if we did we would only do so in the main channel which is usually 100 ft deep when the lake is full.It looks like this will be a thin year for boating in our area.
Here I complain about low lake levels while those in Texas and other areas down south are so busy bailing water they dont have time to complain. What a world we have.
