I already do. :D

Congrats Larry

Ive told this story before but I guess it bears repeating again. Just before 9/11 I was down at my local Lunch watering hole Walkers in lower Manhattan. I was enjoying a nice Salisbury steak with a cold Bodingtons at the crowded bar when out of the corner of my eye I see a guy and a girl trying to sweeze in. I pull my stool aside to give them some room, thats when I noticed it was Billy Joel. Being a typical jaded NYer I pay him no mind. But I do admit I slyly open up a copy of WoodenBoat and begin reading as I eat. Knowing that Billy Joel is an avid boating fan it was not long before he was looking over my shoulder as to what I was reading. "Ya into boats eh ? he finally said Ayup mostly small older WoodenBoats, my dream would be an old Wooden Catboat, says I. "Well ya know I have a shop out on Shelter Island that builds boats, not wooden ones but some nice ones, and I'm trying to bring back the craft of boatbuilding to shelter island. I said I know Mr. Joel and I shook his hand and said I just want to thank you for the music.

We start chating, spend the next hour or so talking about boats, music and women. I will say in my whole life I have never met a more down to earth truly NICE regular guy who just hapens to be a rock star ( well maybe not rock star but you get the idea ) I could see myself hanging out with the guy just a very cool nice down to eath guy who knew and cared alot about boats and baymen and just normal folk.

Great musian and a decent person.
